The Aqua Zone:
Amber Cove features direct access to an enormous lounge pool as well as a range of options from waterslides and zip-lines to a more soothing retreat experience in one of our various cabanas featuring first-class service and amenities. Kayaks, paddleboards and other water toys are also available if you’d like to get a closer look at the beautiful cove and surrounding mountainous landscape. The Aqua Zone is only steps away from the pier, where “fun in the sun” for the entire family surely awaits!
Eats and Treats:
Amber Cove is home to five food and beverage outlets. You can grab one of several available signature cocktails or a bite to eat, including American favorites with savory Dominican twists, at Coco Caña. Locations are among the retail shops, poolside at the swim-up bar or above it all at Sky Bar — with the best views and photo ops of the port! Also, stop by El Cibao Café to try a variety of locally-sourced coffees or even take a pack home with you.
Shopping Experience:
Make sure you leave yourself enough time to stroll through the welcome center, which features an array of unique apparel, local souvenirs, a craft marketplace, art, pharmacy and high-end jewelry. Unlike any other destination, Dominican jewelry is famous for its indigenously exclusive stones of Amber and Larimar which you can find for sale right at the port.
Shore excursions can be pre-booked through your cruise line’s website in the “Shore Excursion” section. Simply log in to your account, navigate to the shore excursions page, and select the tours you wish to book. Be sure to book early, as popular excursions can fill up quickly.
